Lettuce For salads

There are 4 types of green it is good to put in your salad. According to Susan Moores, from American Dietic Association the deeper the color of lettuce the more vitamins and nutrients you can get. Here are they:

Romaine - is a good source of vitamins A and C and is packed with folate, which helps prevent birth defects. It also contains the phytonutrients lutein and zeaxanthin, which promote eye health.

Arugula - One cup of this aromatic green contains 15% to 20% of the recommended daily allowance of vitamin A.

Spinach - Full of iron, vitamins A and C and folate, spinach is also high in the phytonutrients that may help protect against eye diseases.

Watercress - One cup provides about 20% of the recommended daily allowance of Vitamin C and more than 50% of Vitamin A.
